Lala's Report on the Chicago Burlesque Show

On Friday August 8, Super Happy Funtime rolled into Chicago to perform at the legendary Jackhammer Bar, a real rentboy firetrap in Chicago's Boys Town.

We did the shortest most high energy performance of our careers. A 45 minute set. Who da thought? The band was smokin and kept the audience screaming for more! Some highlights were Rosie the OBGYN, a gender bending Blues Brothers strip tease, Carmen and her boyz, Mommie Dearest, Silence of the Lambs, Pimp and Ho, and Joe the Cabdriver lap dancing, getting put into a sling and forced to run down the street yelling "Jason Jason wait!" We still haven't seen Joe since Friday.

Chicago....take heed. We are not done with you yet. We have changed the face of burlesque in the old windy city. It is our solemn promise to come back and kick your ass.
